Founded one hundred years ago, the Historical Society of the Town of Warwick, New York, is proud to celebrate its Centennial with the publication of this amazing chronicle of local history. Historical Society Centennial Committee members Sue Gardner, Gary Randall, and Kathy Randall canvassed the community to create this wonderful pictorial of Warwick in days gone by. Many rare and restored photos never published before reveal glimpses of the people, places, and events that created this unique town. The hamlets of Amity, Bellvale, Edenville, Lake (Lawton), Little York, New Milford, Pine Island, and Wisner (Stone Bridge) along with the villages of Florida, Greenwood Lake, Pine Island and Warwick all have their own chapters. This vivid pictorial shows many aspects of life in days gone by such as local businesses, celebrations, houses of worship, daily life, railroads, tourism, and sports.
Readers will be engaged by this compelling account of how life has changed in America since 1827, whether or not they grew up in Warwick.
